Chocolate Bar!

Yay! Today I finally decided to try out a recipe and make my own chocolate bar! I was a little worried at first but I must say it is a really yummy chocolate bar! All I need to do now is by some candy bar molds and I'm good to go! I wont need to worry about buying any more from the stores! (okay well I might still do that!) =)
I'll try to get some pics, but if I don't post any it's because my family ate it all!
Well I just thought I would share this, even if it sounds weird but like I said I love to bake and make desserts!

Belt Graduation!

Today at my martial arts school we had our belt graduation. There was lots of people there all getting new belts. Also our demo team got to preform which was really fun, especially since I was in it! =) And finally after about two hours we all got our new belts, which I must say it is nice to stop wearing that yellow belt and to start wearing my orange one! We also had two new black belts in our school, so it was really cool to see them earn their black belts, and we had two of our instructors get their scecond degree black belts!
There isn't much more to say and I know I have been lacking on new posts, but I've quite buisy lately! I would have wrote more, but I wanted to keep it short and simple it wouldn't be too long and boring!

Marzipan!

A few days ago it was my mother's 44th birthday! So I decided to do something very special for her and since she likes marzipan (or almonds in general) I decided to make home made marzipan, from scratch! Now I'm sure I already told you that I love to cook or make desserts, so I was really excited to make this. Especially since I love marzipan also and we had lots of it when we lived in Germany, but the only thing was could I meet the expectations of German marzipan. So with that in mind I got all of the things I needed and made the marzipan, I then placed the marzipan in the fridge to cool a bit as I melted chocolate. I then took the marzipan out rolled some into small balls, rolled them around in chocolate, sprinkled some crushed almonds on them, and then placed them in the fridge so that the chocolate could harden!
When it came time for cake, I pulled out my surprise and had my mother test one! I am pleased to tell you that it was a big hit! My mother said it was the best marzipan she ever tasted(and she wasn't just saying it either, I would know if she was)! So yes I am very happy that I now know how to make marzipan from scratch. I even memorized it, and if anyone wants me to post it just say so in the comments!
The only thing is, I didn't get a chance to take pics! So I can't post any pictures, but thats because all the cameras dead! Also I hope it wasn't too boring to read, just let me know if it was and I'll try to explain more or make it more lively!

Heading Typo!

I just realized that my heading to my blog has a typo in its name! In the Fantastical part I typed Fantasical, instead of Fantastical! It's a bit embarrassing! So if anyone know how to change the name in the heading, please let me know!

Edit: I found out I can change the title in the blog design tab. So no need to worry now!

Blogging Bug and Rain!

Well it seems that I have passed the blogging bug onto my younger sister! Yes that's right she has now made her own blog just a few minutes ago. I guess after me showing my blog to her here and there, she finally got the itch do blog also and I can't blame her! I mean once I started it's actually quite fun!
Besides that we have been getting rain, thunder, and lightning now, but thats only because it's monsoon time here for Arizona! I can't complain because I love the rain!

Sideswipe!

Last saturday my tae kwon do school had a seminar, that was taught by a group called Sideswipe! For those of you that don't know who they are, Sideswipe was the winners on America's got Talent in 2007! They are really good at all sorts of flips and tricks, but this seminar was mainly focused on the dual nunchucks. Which was taught by Donald Mill who is part of the Sideswipe team, but his weapon is the dual nunchucks and so thats what we learned. It was a really really great seminar, I wish I could do it all over again. One of the best parts was when Sideswipe performed for us!
Well I just thought I would share this with you and I wish I could have explained the seminar better, but well I'm not that great at explaining things(don't worry though I am working on it). Also if you would like to see what Sideswipe is like just type their name in youtube and it should bring them up! BTW I did get a picture with them but it's not my camera, so I'll see if I can get it from one of my family members!

Profile Photo Change!

I decided to change my profile photo. It doesn't mean that I didn't like the old one, I just thought it would be nice to change my photo. I guess it's because I change my wallpaper every week on my desktop, so it's just a habbit. I'll show the old one and the new one and I do hope that the new one isn't too red!
Also if anyone knows how to make the pictures so you can click on them, then let me know!

No luck

About a week ago I mentioned that I couldn't find the cord to my phone, so I could post pics. Well here's the thing, after looking around for bit I finally decided to go and ask my father about the cord. To which he replied that when we got the phone, it didn't come with a cord that you could plug into your computer. I was dissapointed because I took lots, and lots of photos with it, only to find out I can't get them off my phone and I can't always go ask my sister if i can borrow her camera.
Well to leave this post with a better ending, my father did say that we could by a cord for my phone, but I don't know when that will be! For now you will have bear with me and read my post without any pics, which I know isn't all too fun!

First try fondant!

Last week I made fondant for my sister's birthday, but I wasn't able to make any flowers for it. Well the next day after leaving the fondant in the fridge over night, I was able to quickle make one flower before the fondant started to get sticky and soft again, from the heat. I posted a few pictures of the rose I did for you to enjoy, also this was my first try at this so it's not the best!

Writer's Block?

So has writer's block finally came down on me, and sucked my mind from ideas? No...I can tell that it hasn't, not yet anyways. Then what's the problem you say? The problem is someting else, something that I can't stand and I like to call it "Writer's Curse". What is writer's curse you say? Well I'll tell you what it is, writer's curse is when a writer will do anything and everything to not write, even if they want to write. Yes that's what I have had for the past week or so, I have been wanting to write my book only to find me doing something other than write. But today was different I finally sat down and opened my book file and simple wrote. So yes I don't have writer's block, and I am hopefully conquering this writer's curse! So wish me luck and we'll see how I do!

21 Years!?

Yesterday my family celebrated my older sister's birthday! I can't believe that she is 21, it's just crazy how fast time goes, I mean it seems like we were kids one minute and then the next she is 21 and I'm almost an adult!
For her birthday we stayed at home and watched a movie that she wanted to see, she opened her gifts, which she liked very much and we had dessert! Now the only dissapointment was, my fondant turned out great, but it's a litttle hot here so the fondant starts to get soft real quick. Which made it hard for me to make the flowers I was going to do for my sister, to go with the dessert! I'm going to try again today so we'll see how that goes! Also I would post pictures of the party but...I still can't find the cord to my camera, so I'll see if my younger sister wont mind sharing her pics!

Apple Pie and a hair cut!

Okay yesterday I tired my first attempt, at making home made apple pie including pie crust from scratch. After making the dough for the pie I placed it in the fridge to cool for about 4 hours, and then left to go and get me a hair cut, which turned out not too bad but it wasn't exactly how I wanted it. So I got home after my hair cut and picking up a wrist brace, for my wrist I injured about two weeks ago, then got to making the pie filling, which was going well until, I had to mix the stuff to go on the apples. That turned out really bad, which was a result of me subsituting sugar with splenda, never do that! It turns the mixture into a taffy like substance!
So then my parents had to run to the store pick up sugar,because we were out of sugar, then hurry back home so I could make it the right way.
Well I must say after all that I finally got the pie baked and finished around 9:30 p.m. but the pie was a success, it tasted really good, and it had a flaky pie crust to go with it!
Today on the other hand well lets just say I have had a really bad nose bleed! Also I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the pie so I wont be able to show it, but I might be albe to post photos of my new hair cut, if I can find the cord to my phone!

We have a backyard!

For the last day or two, I was wondering what to write for a new post. Then it came to my mind that we finally got a backyard now, after living here for eight months with a yard full of nothing but dirt! So yes it's really nice to able to go out back and enjoy our new fire pit! I'll see if I can find some pictures to post here.
On the side note, my throat has been feeling dry for the past few days, and I was feeling a little weird also. It must be from all the dust in the air here, my body is still not used to this arizona weather, even after about ten months of living here! Grrr every time I step outside it feels like I walking into an oven!

XMA Seminar!

Today my Tae Kwon Do school did a free XMA seminar, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.! It was extremly fun, we got to learn how to do the butterfly, a backflip, the swoop, and a flash kick. Oh and a hand stand. The seminar was taught by Mr Cloud, who is really good at all kinds of flips!
Well like I said it was a really fun class, and I was glad I went, even if I couldn't do everything perfect, and including me falling on my wrist and making hit hurt real bad now!

Graduation!

Toady was graduation at my tae kwon do school, and I recieved my Gold Belt. I was really excited to finally get a new blet, and to finally stop wearing my white one! To get their new belt each student, had to break a wooden board. Which this time the basic students(which I moved from and will start leadership class next week!) had to break the board with a side kick, and the leadership students had to break theirs with a jump side kick! Also the basic students got to show off, the nunchuck form we kearned, and the leadership got to show off the stuff they learned with the sword. We also got to see the first perofmance, from our schools new demo team!

Mike Chat!

Okay Yesterday at my Tae Kwon Do school, I got the chance to meet Mike Chat. Who was there to teach a seminar for my school, which was a very fun class. For those of you who don't know who Mike Chat is, he taught Jaden Smith for the new karate kid movie, he also has taught Taylor Lautner for the twilight movie series, he has taught Noah Ringer for the Last Air Bender movie that is coming out, and he has also taught Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and George Cloony. Mike Chat is also the creator of XMA(extreme martial arts) which is most of the cool martial arts moves they do in the movies.
Well I just thought that I would post about that, and maybe I can find the picture I took with him!

Two Years!

Today at 5:00 a.m. my brother left to the airport, to go on his mission in Texas for two years. I'll have to admit that it will be very different without him being around, but I'm sure that after a bit I'll get used to him being gone. Besides I know that he is doing what is right, which is serving our Lord. So I wish the best of luck to my older brother Zachary on his mission!

Star Wars Cookies!

Yesterday night my sisters made some star wars cookies. Out of cookkie cutters that we bought when we were visiting family and I decided to take some pictures to post them on here. I took some with and with no frosting(and the frosting was home-made cream cheese frosting =) . Well here they are!
Just so you know there was four different types of characters. There are Darth Vader, Yoda, a Stormtrooper, and Boba Fett. It's a bit hard to tell with the frosting on!

Camera Improviser!

Okay about a few days ago I was just sitting around thinking, when all of the sudden it came to my mind. That I had a old cell phone from germany, that has a camera on it. So I charged it up entered the pin and took some photos! Here is a few that I took!

This is a hat I knit over the weekend when I was at my grandmother's house. The lettering was embroidered on by my grandmother using a special program she got for her sewing machine =)

This should give an idea, of the area I live in, but once you get into town it's not so bad =) (I live in Mesa AZ just in case you didn't know)And finally here is a photo of me! I personally don't think it's the best but it should do for now!

Back!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got back from seeing family on Tuesday, in the evening. We had a great time visiting with family and we held family party, so my brother could get a chance to say goodbye to them before he leaves for two years on his mission.
Well like I said I just wanted to say I was back and I should start to post regularly again!(well almost regularly =)

Notice!

Alright I just wanted to let everyone know that I will not be able to post for a bit. My family and I will be heading to visit family for memorial weekend and we will be returning on tuesday next week!

Stripe Test!

Today for Taekwondo was stripe testing to get our black stripe and I got my second black stripe! So on graduation in June I should be getting my Gold Belt(yellow) and I can finally stop wearing my white one! I was going to take pictures of us stripe testing but I realized that I don't have a digital camera(or a cell phone) and I forgot to tell my younger sister to bring hers! So if I'm going to post pictures I better get a camera or just don't forget to ask my sister! Other than that I was really excited to get my stripe!

New Template

I added a new template that I think fits my blog more. The only thing is that my blog name runs off a bit :( and I had to remove my welcome message. Tell me what you think and if you like it I'll keep it or if you don't like it I'll try to find another one!

Good Start

Well I'll have to say that I was a bit disappointed with my self for not writing any of my book last week, but today was different I woke up and went downstairs to see that my older sister Carissa decided to get up early and bake chocolate chip scones, eggs, bacon, and with some croissants. It was a great way to start the day, but I must admit I was a bit dissapointed that she didn't wake me up to help bake the scones because I love to bake.
Well the rest of the day went pretty well my family decided to pull out all of our photos and start to get back to some scrap booking. I also can't complain about the baking scince I am baking chocolate oat bars as I am typing this =). I'll post a pic when they get done! Also as a side note I think I got to a good start for my first offical blog post!

I start my blog!

Okay this is my first post to start my blog, and I'm a bit excited and nervous. Well I'm not sure how this is going to turn out especially since my life isn't very interesting (well not to me anyways) but you never know it just might become the exact opposite! So let's see what happens shall we!
